Hasta La Vista Schumi

With the 2006 F-1 season coming to an end, it surely will be remembered for Schumi's last season rather than Alonso's second straight championship title, which is rather unfortunate. Theres no question about Schumi being one of the best drivers of all time( Some say he is the best), although his way of winning titles, by ruthless driving, sometimes putting not only his life but also others' lives at peril was something which I always hated. His style is sometimes called as killer instinct but i think he crossed the line way too many times and got away with it. His overtaking maneuvers were surely breathtaking but his philosophy of "Win at all costs" didnt really appeal to me. Who can forget his duels with Villenueve on the last race where in he nudged Jaques out of the championship title race. Theres no secret about his so called enmity with almost all the present and past F-1 drivers especially Alonso. Thanks to the advancements in car safety technology, drivers like Schumi do not end up taking lives of other drivers in their quest to win F-1 Titles. With him retiring, there will be many who shall be missing, but not me and the other F-1 drivers. Hasta La Vista Schumi.
